Summer Learning Camp
June 27 - August 26 (one-week sessions)

TLTC's Summer Learning Camp is a comprehensive program designed to enhance, maintain and support skills learned throughout the year. Therapies provided throughout the camp program include vision, occupational and speech-language therapy. Support programming including social skills training, handwriting, math, reading tutoring and fine arts are also incorporated. Students may attend full day or partial day camp. A snack is included with the fees for both full day and partial day camps. Full day campers and partial day campers attending lunch bunch are required to bring a lunch. A screening with one of our therapists is required for campers new to TLTC.

Schedule of Fees

Full day: 9- 3:30 pm; $350/week
Half day: 9 - 12 pm; $200/week
Half day: 12:30-3:30 pm; $200/week
Lunch bunch: 12 - 12:30 pm; $50/week
(Week 2: 20% fee reduction)

Summer Groups
June 27 - August 26: weekly group classes

The EDGE Learning System - Enhancing Development for Gains in Education
This 45-minute group will enhance your child’s motor, speech, reading, math, social and visual skills to improve grades, performance and self-esteem.  

  • Ages 6-8: Tuesday and Thursday, 5:15-6 pm
  • Ages 9-12: Tuesday and Thursday, 6:15-7 pm

 

Emotions in Motion - Sensory-Motor Groups
Children will benefit from this 45-minute weekly program incorporating creative arts and yoga principles. A variety of materials will be used to facilitate the connection between sensation and emotional regulation. Emphasis on breath control, rhythm and posture will also improve organizational, sensory processing and social skills.

  • Ages 3-5: Monday, 2:15-3 pm
  • Ages 6-8: Monday, 4:30-5:15 pm
  • Ages 9-12: Tuesday, 4-4:45 pm

 

Handwriting Without Tears
This multi-sensory approach to developing and enhancing handwriting skills appeals to children with all kinds of learning styles – visual, auditory, tactile and kinesthetic. The unique materials and creative workbooks assist to eliminate problems with letter formation, reversals, legibility, spacing and cursive connections.

  • Ages 3-5: Monday, 3:30-3:45 pm
  • Ages 5-7: Tuesday, 4:45-5:30 pm
  • Ages 8-10: Monday, 3:45-4:30 pm

 

Boost Your Self Image
Low self esteem comes from a poor self image. Building your child's self esteem leads to success and happiness. This group's activities are designed to boost confidence and self-image.

  • Ages: 7-10: Thursday, 5-6 pm

 

The Social EDGE
These 1-hour sessions focus on improving social skills of students through interactive activities in a therapeutic environment. Groups are arranged according to peer age and individual needs. Activities focus on developing play skills, language and communication skills, body language, sensorimotor skills, controlling emotions and social flexibility.  

  • Ages 3-5: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thurday, 3:30-4:30
  • Ages 6-9: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thurday, 4:30-5:30
  • Ages 10-12: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thurday, 5:30-6:30
  • Ages 13 and up: By appointment

 

Expression in Art
Students will engage in visual, auditory and tactile stimulation creating for works of art. All activities will be taught baed on individual need encouraging each student to further develop his or her current ability. Students will have the opportunity to repeat lessons, if needed, o build on foundational skills.

  • Ages 3-5: Thursday, 12:-12:45 pm
  • Ages 6-8: Thursday, 1-1:45 pm
  • Ages 9-12: Thursday, 2-3 pm

 

Birthday Party Art
It's a party! Students will create their own party hats, decorations and create pretend party food within this class. Materials used will include paints, paper, clay, tissue paper, glue, popsicle sticks and rubber bands.

  • Ages 3-5: Friday, 12:-12:45 pm
  • Ages 6-8: Friday, 1-1:45 pm

 

Squeeze Away Stress
Students will be able to squeeze, mold and decorate self-drying clay sculptures and designs. This goup is structured to incorporate intense tactile experiences to promote calm and organization. Classical music will be played throughout this class.

  • Ages 6-8: Friday, 2-3 pm
  • Ages 9-12: Thursday, 3:15-4:15 pm

 

Summer Author Study
July 18-August 26

Learn about your favorite author! Students will read stories and study the art work and literary patterns of one author over six weeks while building fluency and comprehension. Students will read one story a week and complete a craft or response activity for each story. At the end of six weeks each student will have a portfolio of work on the author and their writing. 

Eric Carle is a loved children’s author most known for his vibrant illustrations and rhyming patterns!
Ages 4-5

Thursdays 3-3:45

Kevin Henkes is an award-winning author and illustrator who writes lovely stories that children can really relate to!
Ages 6-7
Mondays 10-10:45
Thursdays 4-4:45

Mem Fox is an Australian writer who brings stories about her homeland to life!
Ages 8-10
Mondays 11-11:45
Thursdays 5-5:45

All classes will run for 6 weeks.

 

 
 

Summer Group Fees

Session I:
June 27-August 5 (6 weeks)

$240/session for 6 weeks per group
(Monday groups $200/session for 5 weeks)

Session II:
August 8-August 26 (3 weeks)
$120/session for 3 weeks per group

Register 3 or more groups and receive a 15% discount.

Register siblings and receive 15% off the second and each additional sibling.
