Presenter: Ann McCarthy, Founder of Advocacy for
Kids, LLC Ann McCarthy has provided education advocacy services
to over 85 families throughout Connecticut, across a wide range of
ages and issues. In addition to her direct work with schools and
parents, Ann has completed hundreds of hours of training related to
special education advocacy . Ann will welcome specific questions
about your child’s learning challenges and/or Individualized
Education Plan (IEP)

Parent Support Group
Are you the parent of a special needs child?
Has your child participated in TLTC programs or other therapy
based programs?
If so, come and join up to 6 other parents in a supportive
confidential setting to discuss common concerns. Our group will be a
helping, comfortable environment in which everyone can be heard and
share ideas and responsible coping strategies.
Facilitator: Kim Taylor, LPC, NCC Kim
is a nationally certified, licensed professional counselor who has
worked with parents and children for several years.

$40 per parent
